Google AdSense allows Web content publishers to display ad units on their website to generate revenue from user clicks. Ads display as either text, images, flash or video. The text ads can be customized with a variety of color palettes to help you blend the ad unit into your website.
You may customize either an existing ad unit or a new one by using the tools available to you in your Google AdSense dashboard.

Creating a New Ad Unit
Visit the Google AdSense main page (see Resources) and log into your account. Enter your registered email address and password into the corresponding fields and click the blue "Sign in" button.
Click on the "My ads" link on the top toolbar.

Click the "+ New ad unit" button.
Enter the requested information to customize your Google AdSense ad unit. On this page, you can select the ad size, type, channel and style. If desired, enter a name for your ad unit in the Name field. A name allows you to identify a specific ad unit if you wish to make changes to it later.

Click either "Save" or "Save and get code" to finish the ad unit customization. If you select "Save and get code," the page redirects you to a screen where you may copy the ad unit code to paste into your website.

Customize an Existing Ad Unit
Visit the Google Adsense main page (see Resources) and log into your account. Enter your registered email address and password into the corresponding fields then click the blue "Sign in" button.

Click on the "My ads" link on the top toolbar.
Click the name of the ad unit you wish to customize.

Customize your ad unit as you desire. You can edit the ad type, channels and ad style. You can also edit the name, if desired. However, you cannot change the size of the ad unit.
Click the "Save" button to save the changed to the ad unit.
